The code 1-RY61-1.5/120K3 identifies the package of HBK strain gage rosette for hole drilling residual stress measurements.
The rosette has 3 measuring grids (0° – 45° – 90°) with a nominal resistance of 120Ω, realized with a rectangular patter (Type B rosette according to ASTM E837 standard) in counter-clockwise convention (CCW) and thermally compensated for ferritic steel.
The strain gage diameter of the rosette is 5.10mm and the external sizes are 7.2 x 10.2 mm mm: it can be used in hole drilling measurements with a drilled hole diameter in the range of 1.80 – 2.10 mm, providing non-uniform residual stress calculation up to 1.0 mm of depth.
The layout of the rosette is particul useful where measurements need to be made in a corner.
The rosette is provided in 4-wires pre-wired configuration made with PVC ribbon cable with a length of 3 m.
