The code 1-RY61-1.5/120R3 identifies the package of HBK strain gage rosette for hole drilling residual stress measurements.
The rosette has 3 measuring grids (0° – 45° – 90°) with a nominal resistance of 120Ω, realized with a rectangular patter (Type B rosette according to ASTM E837 standard) in counter-clockwise convention (CCW) and thermally compensated for ferritic steel.
The strain gage diameter of the rosette is 5.10mm and the external sizes are 8.0 x 13.5 mm: it can be used in hole drilling measurements with a drilled hole diameter in the range of 1.80 – 2.10 mm, providing non-uniform residual stress calculation up to 1.0 mm of depth.
The layout of the rosette is particul useful where measurements need to be made near an obstacle.
The rosette is provided in 4-wires pre-wired configuration made with PVC ribbon cable with a length of 3 m.
