The EVAL software allows the evaluation of the measurement’s uncertainty for hole-drilling residual stress.
The evaluation of the uncertainties can be done both for uniform and non-uniform stress field calculation considering the main contributes.
The main sources of errors included in the evaluation of the uncertainty are the strain reading, the measurement of the drilled hole, the material properties and the drilling depth.
