The code EA-06-031-RE120 identifies the package of MM – Vishay strain gage rosette for hole drilling residual stress measurements.
The rosette has 3 measuring grids (0° – 45° – 90°) with a nominal resistance of 120Ω, realized with a circular patter (Type A rosette according to ASTM E837 standard) in clockwise convention (CW) and thermally compensated for ferritic steel.
The strain gage diameter of the rosette is 2.56mm and the external sizes are 7.4 x 7.0 mm: it can be used in hole drilling measurements with a drilled hole diameter in the range of 0.90 – 1.05 mm, providing non-uniform residual stress calculation up to 0.5 mm of depth.
The layout of the rosette is suggested for general-purpose use.
The rosette has soldering pads for the connection of the wires.
